New SQ Hours for our kids and young adults

We here at the Newark Moose Lodge 499 strongly believe in we are a “Family fraternity and care about our members and most especially our members Children”. We want kids of all ages to enjoy and feel welcome in the Moose Lodge every time they visit. In the past, all children and young adults under 21 years of age were required to be out of the Lodge by 8pm on all business days. We are happy to announce we have extended the times our kids can be at the lodge when accompanied by their parents or legal guardian.

Effective immediately, members children that are 16 years of age and under may be in the lodge until 10pm and young adults with proof of ID ages 17 to 20 may be in the lodge until last call while accompanied by their parent or guardian. At no time may any child or young adult under the age of 21 be served or given any alcoholic beverages by the staff, attending parent or guardian.

When members and their young adults (17-20) plan on being in the lodge at 10pm or after, they will be required to show a valid ID and wear a wrist band to identify they’re under 21 but at least 17 years of age. The parent or guardian will request a wrist band either from a staff member at the door or at the bar upon entry to the lodge.

Keep in mind there may be special occasions where the new time may be temporarily changed due to an activity at the Lodge and will be posted and communicated to the membership.

We are committed to making sure your lodge is the best and friendliest place in town to come to, so we hope the kids and young adults take advantage of the changes we made to help in growing our Family for years to come.
